Bin Location Features

Learn how to add a bin location when adding inventory. Bin location can also be shown on estimates, work orders, or invoices, depending on your preferences.

 

How to Use Bin Locations in TireTutor.ai

Bin locations help your team quickly find the tires and parts you have in stock. You can request to have bin location appear on your work orders, estimates, or invoices.

Step 1: Add a New Inventory Item

1. Go to Inventory.

2. Click New Product.

3. Choose whether you want to add a tire or a part.

4. Enter the product details, such as the brand name. 

5. Select the appropriate product code.

6. Click Create.

Step 2: Add a Bin Location

1. After creating the product, you will be taken to the product page.

2. Locate the Add Bin Location field.

3. Enter the bin location for that item. - Example: A3 - This can represent an aisle, section, or bin in your shop.

4. Click Save. The bin location is now saved in the system for that inventory item.

Step 3: View the Bin Location on a Work Order

1. Go to Work Orders.

2. Start a new work order.

3. Add the tire or part to the work order.

4. Once the item is added, the bin location will appear on the work order in a column to the right of the item description.

This makes it easier for your team to locate the correct inventory item while servicing the vehicle.
