We are excited to announce the release of a helpful new feature designed to make your tire lookups faster and more forgiving: Fuzzy Search for SKUs.

We know that speed and accuracy are crucial when finding tires, but mistakes happen—a digit gets missed, or a number is entered incorrectly. With Fuzzy Search, our system will now intelligently suggest the closest matching tires in your inventory, even if the SKU you entered isn't 100% perfect.

How Fuzzy Search Works

Fuzzy Search ensures that a small typo or memory lapse doesn't result in a "no results found" screen, keeping your workflow moving smoothly.

  1. Search by SKU: You begin searching for a tire using its SKU number, as usual.

  2. Handling Missing Digits: If you accidentally omit a digit from the end of a long SKU (e.g., you forget the final '3'), the system will still recognize the core sequence and bring up the intended tire, along with other close matches.

  3. Correcting Typos: If you enter an incorrect digit (e.g., you type a '2' instead of a '4' in the middle of the SKU), the Fuzzy Search algorithm calculates the nearest correct options and displays them.

Example in Action:

If the correct SKU for the Fortune FSR602 is 3341030603, but you mistakenly enter 334103060 (missing the last digit), the correct tire will still appear in the results, along with any other tires whose SKUs closely resemble the partial string.

This new capability minimizes search frustration and helps you locate the product you need faster, ensuring a smoother and more efficient tire quoting and work order process.
