How to add generic tires to a work order
Accurate tire inventory management is crucial for every shop. TireTutor.ai is designed to eliminate manual errors, such as typos or duplicate listings, by requiring users to select products from dropdown menus. This ensures your inventory records always match your physical stock, helping you avoid mistakes and saving valuable time.
However, there are instances when you need to add a tire that isn’t listed, such as used tires, temporary stock, or unique customer requests. In these cases, adding a "generic" tire to a work order gives your team the necessary flexibility without compromising operational efficiency.
Step-by-Step Guide: Adding Generic Tires
1. Open the relevant work order where you need to add the tire.
2. Add the Tire RNR Service From the menu of available services, locate and select Tire RNR (Removal & Replacement). This is a standard menu item in TireTutor.ai.
3. Edit the Tire Service Details Click the Edit icon (represented by a pencil) next to the Tire RNR service you just added. This will open a dialog where you can specify the tire details.
4. Select a Generic Tire In the dropdown labeled Tire, delete any pre-selected item. Type “Generic” to replace it with a generic tire option. Choose the appropriate tire size (for example, 18 inches) for the work order.
5. Enter Quantity and Pricing Specify the number of tires needed (such as 4). Set the price per tire (for example, $95 each).
6. Save and Review Click Save. The system will automatically update the total cost at the bottom of the work order.
7. Continue with Checkout Once the generic tires are added and all details are correct, proceed to complete the work order and finalize the customer’s checkout process.
