How to enter time and use the employee PIN functionality
Here's how you can track your time, lock the screen quickly, and allows others to pop in to do a quick admin task if needed
Time Tracking & Employee PIN Guide
TireTutor makes it easy for employees to track their time and securely lock or switch users using Employee PINs.
Part 1: How to Track Employee Time
Step 1: Access Time Tracking

Log into TireTutor.

From the main menu, click Time Tracking.

You will see your name listed if you are set up for time tracking.
Step 2: Clock In

Locate your name.

Click Clock In.

Your timer will immediately begin running.
You’ll see your active time counting on screen.
Step 3: Clock Out

When you are finished with your shift (or need to stop tracking time), return to Time Tracking.

Click Clock Out.
Your session will stop recording.
Step 4: View Time History

Under the Employees menu item, click the History tab.

You will see:

Clock-in time
-
Clock-out time
-
Total duration of each session

This allows employees and managers to review tracked time.
Part 2: How to Use Employee PIN Functionality
Employee PINs allow you to quickly lock your screen without fully logging out — and allow authorized users to access the system when needed.
Locking Your Screen When Stepping Away
If you need to step away from the desk but don’t want to fully log out:
Step 1: Lock the Screen

Click Employee PIN in the system.

Select Lock Screen.
The system will immediately lock.
No one can make edits under your name while the screen is locked.
Step 2: Unlock the Screen

Enter your assigned PIN.
-
You’ll return to the system under your user profile.
No need to re-enter your email or password.
Owner/Admin Quick Access
If a non-admin employee needs an owner or manager to perform a restricted action (such as voiding a work order):
Step 1: Admin Enters PIN

Click Employee PIN.

The owner/admin enters their personal PIN.
The system will switch to their user profile.
Step 2: Complete the Required Action
The owner/admin can now:

Void work orders
-
Perform restricted edits
-
Complete admin-level tasks
All actions are logged under their name.
Step 3: Return to Original User
When finished:

The previous employee can re-enter their own PIN

The system switches back to their profile
