How to add service charges; this can be used to offset credit card transactional fees.

 

Set Up Service Charges

To enable and configure service charges in the TireTutor.ai shop management platform, follow these steps.

  1. Navigate to your Shop Settings, you can find the Shop Settings button:

    1. At the bottom of the left hand navigation menu

    2. Or by clicking on the profile icon/your profile picture on the top right

  2. Click on Shop Settings.

  3. On the settings screen, click on Shop Fees.

Configure the Service Charge Percentage

Within the Shop Fees section, you will activate and define the charge.

  1. Click on the Service Charge option in the Shop Setting left hand navigation menu.

  2. Use the toggle button to turn the service charge on.

  3. Set the desired fee percentage in the designated field (e.g., set it to 3%).

  4. Click Save. A confirmation message will appear stating that the service settings have been saved.

Verify the Service Charge Application

Once saved, the service charge will automatically be applied to work orders.

  1. Go back to the main shop management platform and open a work order.

  2. The service charge will be calculated and incorporated into the totals (e.g., $200 tires will now include a $6 shop fee, reflecting the 3% charge).
