Using the Distributor Filter and Last Updated Quantity Field in the Tire Catalog

These are especially handy when you have a customer in front of you who needs a tire right away. If you have a distributor who is typically able to provide same-day tires to you, you can easily filter by this distributor to see if they have the tire in stock. 

Using the New Inventory and Distributor Features
The Tire Catalog has been updated with two key features designed to help you quickly identify product availability and manage orders more efficiently: the Last Updated Quantity column and the Distributor Filter. 

Here's how to use it:

1. Quick Inventory Reference: "Last Updated Quantity"

This column provides a fast, high-level view of available stock based on the most recent daily data pull.

  • How to use: When viewing the list of tires for a selected vehicle, look at the Last Updated Quantity column.
  • Purpose: This gives you an immediate estimate of inventory across all your connected distributors.
  • Best practice: Use this to quickly see if a tire is generally available to order before diving into specific distributor details.

2. Narrowing Results: Distributor Filter
If you need to see inventory from a specific source (e.g., to prioritize a local supplier for same-day service), use the new sorting tool.

  • How to access: Locate the Distributor dropdown menu on the sort bar above your tire results.
  • How to use: Select one or more distributors from the list to filter the catalog.
  • Result: The page will refresh to show only the tires available from those specific distributors, and the "Last Updated Quantity" column will update to reflect inventory for those selections.

Important Notes for Accurate Ordering

  • Data Timing: The "Last Updated Quantity" data is pulled from distributor FTP feeds around 5:00 a.m. daily. Because inventory can change throughout the day, always treat this number as a reliable estimate rather than real-time, minute-by-minute stock.
  • Double-Check: If you are unsure or if the customer requires a specific tire that is critical to the order, please confirm current availability as needed
